Grant’s own son, Matt, was born with steam in his blood and now drives trains like his father and grandfather. When Des Goss - who says he is now ‘80 plus’ - isn’t driving or shovelling coal on the train for his grandson, he paints the enormous locomotives and carriages in the sheds. By hand.
