Mohammed is a controversial writer often shocking audiences with his raw honesty in exploring his Arab Australia experience. ‘There’s a misconception that the best way to counteract negative portrayals of a community is with positive portrayals. I have always disagreed with this idea, because I think it’s dishonest. My job as a writer is to tell a truthful story and a complex story.’
Mohammed is working with actor Claudia Karvan to develop a TV series based on his book ‘The Other Half of You’.
