Unfortunately, he has been in an Egyptian prison for 292 days along with his colleagues Mohamed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed. He managed to prepare a speech, dictated to his relatives during their fortnightly visits, which was delivered at the event. This is some of what he had to say.
