“I'm afraid maybe I might be the next to be attacked on the street. So I don't know where to take my family,” said a Congolese man who lives in one of the streets that was attacked.
The protests were in response to a knife attack on June 8 by a Sudanese man who stabbed another man multiple times in the head. Authorities say the protesters were incited by right-wing activists and anti-immigrants politicians online.
