18:07Now PlayingHouse Foreign Affairs Chairman Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., and Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., are reintroducing legislation to address foreign interference in U.S. elections. The news conference comes ahead of President Donald Trump's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit. The "SECURE Our Democracy Act of 2019” would punish foreign actors who meddle in any U.S. elections, including the past 2016 elections. The legislation takes aim at Russia, which attempted to sway the U.S. electorate in 2016 through social media campaigns.
