Echoing remarks that he gave earlier in the day to the House Judiciary Committee, Mueller said he would not go beyond the scope of his report on Russian meddling into the 2016 presidential election. But Mueller did say that Russia’s efforts to meddle in the U.S. elections is “one of the most serious” attacks on the American democracy that he has seen.
