The decision raises questions of conflicts of interest between Trump’s business dealings and his role as the president. Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney on Oct. 17 pushed back against that criticism, saying the location was best suited for the international summit and that it will be hosted "at cost." “He’s not making any money off of this” Mulvaney said. “If you think it’s going to help his brand, he probably doesn’t need much help promoting his brand,” he added.
