As part of a public impeachment hearing on Nov. 19, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, questioned Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, an Army officer who works for the National Security Council, about who he told about a July phone call between President Donald Trump and the president of Ukraine. The call has become the center of the impeachment inquiry into Trump. Jordan asked Vindman why he reported his concerns to the National Security Council lawyer instead of his superior, Tim Morrison. Vindman said he spoke to two people and tried to speak to Morrison before the lawyer told him not to speak to anyone else. “Representative Jordan, I did my job,” Vindman said.
