Jonathan Turley, a George Washington University law professor, decried partisanship that he said has plagued the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump. “There’s so much more rage than reason,” Turley testified Dec. 4 during a House Judiciary Committee hearing. Turley said the nation’s founders wrote the impeachment provision into the Constitution during highly partisan times. “When people talk about members of this committee acting like they want to kill each other. Back then, they were actually trying to kill each other,” Turley said, but added that even then, there was a not a “slew of impeachments.”
