Guy Reschenthaler, R-Pa., argued against an article of impeachment against President Donald Trump that claims he abused his power by pressuring Ukraine to investigate his political rivals. Reschenthaler said Trump didn’t have “corrupt intent.” “The president was not seeking to help with his 2020 campaign,” Reschenthaler said, instead arguing Trump was trying to fight corruption in Ukraine when he asked the country’s president to investigate 2020 presidential candidate and former vice president Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.The House Judiciary Committee on Dec. 12 considered revisions to the articles of impeachment and voted on whether to send those articles to the full U.S. House of Representatives. Democrats on Tuesday filed two articles of impeachment against Trump -- abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
