Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., said yes, and referenced her response to Supreme Court Brett Kavanaugh during his Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. Klobuchar’s comments about her father's struggle with alcoholism led to a heated response from Kavanaugh, for which he later apologized. "I stood my ground," Klobuchar said of that exchange. Klobuchar is one of the seven Democrats vying for their party's 2020 presidential nomination who met on the stage for the sixth Democratic debate on Dec. 19, hosted by the PBS NewsHour and POLITICO.
