Michael Bennet, D-Colo., dropped out of the 2020 Democratic presidential race on Feb. 11 as results from the New Hampshire primary were still being reported. “I got in this race because I love our country,” Bennet told a room full of supporters in New Hampshire. The senator said he was proud of the work his campaign had accomplished and promised to keep fighting for his policy agenda outside of the 2020 campaign. Bennet did not meet the threshold to appear in the most recent Democratic presidential debates and his candidacy never broke into the top tier of candidates.
