"It's certainly not up to me, but the fundamental public health principles are very, very clear ... If you can't [safeguard health], then you should reconsider whether you want to have a season or not," the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said in an interview with PBS NewsHour's Judy Woodruff. Both the Big Ten and the Pac-12, two of the Power Five conferences in college football, announced this week that they would postpone their fall sports seasons.
