as posted by the channelPresident Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden welcomed military families to the White House on Tuesday for a barbecue to celebrate July 4. Jill Biden told the families that while the day would be filled with many celebrations, the nation couldn't forget the significance of the holiday and sacrifices military families have made to make freedom possible.
The president also noted that 2023 marked a few significant milestones for the nation's military.
"This year we honor the 50th anniversary of the all volunteer force, [the] 75th anniversary of desegregating the military and the 75th anniversary of women's integration into the military full blown," he said.
