2:03Now PlayingA question about the high cost of childcare at the CNN Presidential Debate Thursday night prompted President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump to argue more about the military, tax cuts and who is the worst president in history.
“We are the most admired country in the world. We’re the United States of America. There's nothing beyond our capacity. We have the finest military in the history of the world,” Biden said, responding to previous criticism leveled by Trump that Biden had "destroyed" the country. Biden did mention that he believed the U.S. should significantly increase the child care tax credit.
Trump alleged that Biden would raise taxes, including those of CNN’s moderators, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. Trump said Biden is “the worst president in history, by far.”
The June 27 CNN Presidential Debate was the first time Biden and Trump faced off this election season. It was also the first debate between a sitting and former president.
