2:59Now PlayingPresident Joe Biden said at a news conference on Thursday that he warned Israeli leaders after the Oct. 7 Hamas attack not to double down on their war in Gaza, urging them to avoid repeating the mistakes the United States made in Afghanistan after 9/11.
Responding to a reporter's question at the end of the NATO summit about whether he had regrets on his handling of the war, Biden discussed his efforts to lessen humanitarian losses in Gaza and his disappointment in the closure of a temporary pier for delivering aid to civilians.
"I just have to keep moving to make sure that we get as much done as we can toward a cease-fire," Biden said.
