2:47Now PlayingRep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla., co-chair of Committee of the Platform, spoke Monday at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, two days after an assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
The suspected shooter, who was killed by law enforcement, killed one person and seriously injured two.
During the convention, delegates will adopt a party platform and formally nominate Trump as the Republican candidate for president. Trump is also expected to announce his running mate on Monday.
The Republican National Convention kicks off Monday, July 15, in Milwaukee against the backdrop of an apparent assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump this weekend.
