5:31Now PlayingRep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, D-Ill., asked the U.S. Secret Service director to comment on several conspiracy theories that have circulated about the July 13 assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump.
Director Kimberly Cheatle confirmed the agency has not found evidence that the incident was a staged shooting, nor was it a conspiracy carried out by high-ranking government officials. Cheatle also said there's been no evidence that the shooting was done by a foreign state or entity.
Cheatle appeared before a House panel Monday to answer questions about the attempted assassination of Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
