WATCH: 'NATO is more capable than it's ever been,' Biden says in farewell address

The United States has a stronger relationship with its allies and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO, is more capable “than it’s ever been,” Biden said in his foreign policy farewell address on Monday.

“Our alliances are stronger than they've been in decades. NATO is more capable than it's ever been,” Biden said in his remarks from the State Department.

Biden also took credit for more NATO allies spending more of their GDP on their militaries.

“Many more of our allies are paying their fair share,” Biden said.

Biden will leave office next week. He has argued that his one-term presidency has repaired diplomatic damage that will benefit the U.S. for years to come.
