as posted by the channelPresident Donald Trump previewed a slew of executive orders he planned to sign onstage after his inaugural parade Monday evening, ranging from “an immediate regulation freeze” to ending “federal government censorship.”
Trump listed some of the actions he planned to take, including revoking 78 presidential acts by his predecessor, former President Joe Biden.
The inauguration ceremony, including the swearings-in, took place indoors this year, a last-minute change to the pomp and circumstance due to extreme cold forecasted for the nation’s capital. The parade was held inside Washington’s Capital One Arena.
When Trump returns to the White House, he’s expected to act quickly on his campaign promises and roll back his predecessor’s policies. As his second term begins, his party controls both chambers of Congress and conservative justices have a majority on the Supreme Court. Trump is only the second president to return to office in non-consecutive terms, the only president convicted of a felony and the oldest person to win election to the White House.
