as posted by the channelFive years ago, Vivian Gibson wrote a book about growing up in Mill Creek, a neighborhood decimated under urban renewal policies of the 1960s. Alongside filmmaker Khalid Abdulqaadir, Gibson is working to bring the stories of her childhood home to life.
The pair are working on a three-part documentary highlighting the memories of the surviving Mill Creek children, in hopes of ensuring history remembers both their pain and their purpose. PBS News' Gabrielle Hays reports on this effort.
