as posted by the channelTrump's nominee for the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, said on Monday that no disciplinary action was taken against him for adding a journalist to a Signal chat where war plans for an attack on Yemen were discussed, because no security rules had been violated.
“The use of Signal was not only authorized, it's still authorized and highly recommended,” Waltz testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee during his nomination hearing.
He said no classified information was shared in the Signal group.
Waltz stepped down as National Security Advisor in May amid criticism for the Signal leak. Trump later nominated him to become ambassador to the United Nations.
