Judge Allison Burroughs seemed receptive to Harvard's arguments during a Monday court hearing that the government illegally cut $2.6 billion in funding to the school. Harvard sued the Trump administration two months ago, saying the cuts violated its First Amendment rights. Government lawyers claim the funding freezes are justified, arguing that Harvard violated President Trump's orders on fighting antisemitism. The hearing ended without a ruling. The judge is expected to issue a decision later in writing.
