The group had been in the country for the women's Asian Cup last month before the war began.
Australia's home affairs minister on Monday said they had been moved to a "safe location" by federal police officers. He added that asylum was offered to other team members, as well.
After Iran was knocked out of the tournament over the weekend, the team faced the prospect of returning to a home country under bombardment.
