Amid the widening war in the Middle East, the U.S. government launched a high-stakes operation Friday to find two crew members who had ejected as their F-15fighter jet was going down over southwestern Iran. They both landed on the ground alive, but miles apart.
Trump described how, under his direction, the U.S. deployed military aircraft to the area and unrolled a deception campaign to confuse Iranian operatives to eventually locate both crew members.
“We thank God for every single one of them,” the president said, praising those involved with the operation, “and the talent, the genius is not even talent, it's genius. It's the whole ballgame.”
