The coordinated nonviolent protests were the start of a two-week action launched on Monday by climate activist group Extinction Rebellion. Gail Bradbrook, a co-founder of the movement, explains what they are demanding in response to the "intergenerational injustice" of climate change, including reaching net-zero gas emissions by 2025 and instituting changes that could ameliorate "these kinds of issues that, frankly, our current democracies are just not able to deal with."
