as posted by the channelThe defense has told us to expect "fireworks" today as the Commonwealth has announced its attention to call Brian Higgins next in the lineup. Brian Higgins is the ATF agent with an office in the Canton Police Department who was friends with Brian Albert and was said by Mr. Yanetti to have been the subject of a federal proffer agreement. But his role in the case remains somewhat mysterious as he is not even mentioned in the Commonwealth's Statement of Facts despite being present at 34 Fairview the night John O'Keefe died and was seen later at the Canton police station at 1:30 that morning by Sgt. Goode. Mr. Lally also told us in his opening statement that Mr. Higgins had "amorous" text communications with Karen Read while she and John were having relationship problems. But just days ago, the Commonwealth filed a notice of discovery indicating it was producing Mr. Higgins's medical records to the defense. With so many ways his testimony could go, this is the day I've been looking forward to the most in this trial so far.
