In the lengthy article, Taylor Swift is described as someone who uses her white privilege to… not say anything. Because of course, silence is violence. Silence is consent for whatever the person observing the silence thinks is a bad thing. Since some people link her to far-right groups, then of course her political silence must be an endorsement. Even though Swift has rebuked said groups numerous times.
The question to be asked is simple. What can Taylor Swift do to not be seen as a bad person by some on the left? Maybe she must do what most of us do not want music artists to do… which is to become political and a leftist.
