Back in late January, Whoopi made some comments about World War 2 Germany. She said that the group in power did not see race as a factor in oppressing people. Part of her thought process was the argument about Jews and Germans not being any different from each other. Groups like the ADL and many others immediately corrected her while others corrected her and labeled her as some sort of a racist. She would later recant her statements and say that the events of WW2 Germany were, in fact, about race. Although she has apologized profusely for those comments, she is now being forced to confront that situation all over again.
