10:47Now PlayingTennessee's State Government has passed a bill that would allow some teachers to carry guns in the classroom. The Tennessee House and Senate have approved it. The last step is for Governor Bill Lee to sign off on it. When the bill becomes law, teachers who wish to volunteer for the program must sign up, gain approval, and undergo 40 hours of firearms training.
Some people, including the Tennessee Three, do not like this bill. They went viral after two of them were expelled from the House last year for staging an anti-gun protest in Nashville. Both men, Justin Jones and Justin Pearson were ultimately reinstated to the Tennessee State Government. At least one of the men staged a "die-in" at the Capitol on the heels of this bill passing as it awaits Bill Lee's signature.
