The 85-year-old has developed a severe wound that has led to a dangerous infection affecting his tailbone. His assistant says sepsis has set in and his condition is serious.
Estimates show 1 in 10 nursing home residents develop bedsores, which can turn life-threatening. "I want the world to pray for me," Shreve said.
