1:54Now PlayingGeorgia Rep. Nikema Williams is co-sponsoring the "No TSA Data for ICE Act," a bill that would prohibit the Transportation Security Administration from sharing passenger information with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Two dozen lawmakers are backing the measure. The bill would also bar the Department of Homeland Security from revoking a traveler's TSA PreCheck or Global Entry status for exercising First Amendment rights, such as filming ICE activity.
The legislation comes after an American citizen was allegedly wrongfully detained at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport during an ICE enforcement action.
