Socialite Penelope McGee is on trial in Norfolk County, MA and charged with manslaughter in the 2020 death of her ex-husband Andrew Saviitz, who died of a heart attack after a verbal altercation with her. Savitz, 66, had a host of medical conditions, including a 90% occlusion in one of his aortic arteries, diabetes, a stroke 6 months prior, and 2 prior motor vehicle accidents. McGee is represented by Larry Tipton, Esq. and she has waived a jury trial in favor of a bench trial, Judge Beverly Cannone, presiding. Judge Cannone is the judge assigned to the Karen Read case. McGee claims self defense.
