New Orleans' famous Bourbon Street began reopening the day after a terror attack on New Year's Day killed 14 and injured at least 30. Police fatally shot the suspect, Shamsud-Din Jabbar of Houston, Texas, at the scene.

The FBI said Jabbar rented a Ford F-150 in Houston through Turo, a vehicle sharing app, before driving it to New Orleans. USA TODAY reported that Jabbar was a U.S. citizen and Army veteran, however the truck with which he carried out the attack contained an ISIS flag.
