Peter Purves accompanies Alastair MacDonald on one of his inspection tours of the gargantuan Forth Railway Bridge, that crosses the Firth of Forth. In order to complete the full inspection, they will need to climb to the top of the cantilever structure, some 361 feet above sea level.
For his trouble, he got to have a spot of tea and biscuits in the specially prepared "Blue Peter Bothy."
