Living Off the Land is a study of some of the richest and some of the bravest men who choose to live by farming Britain's pricey soil. The film contrasts the lives of two small men trying to make a go in mid-Wales and three of the biggest farmers in Britain - with huge acreages in Lincolnshire, large personal establishments, and complex business organisations.
The experiences of these five help to throw some light on the difficulties facing farming today.
