The families of those who died say the delay is unacceptable and are threatening legal action unless a release date is agreed. Reg Keys, whose son L/Cpl Thomas Keys was killed in Iraq in 2003, is one of those calling for the inquiry to be sped up. He told the BBC that soldiers' families had "come to the end of their tether".
