"We're going to see the documents, they will be released and everybody will see the information the prime minister had when he took the decision," Reed told the Today programme.
On Wednesday, the PM told Parliament he was aware when he appointed Mandelson about his "ongoing" friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019.
