0:37Now PlayingKeanu Reeves celebrated movies and his fans as he placed his handprints in cement outside the famed Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday.
Reeves wore an all-black suit and was joined by his "The Matrix" and "John Wick" franchise co-star Laurence Fishburne at the ceremony.
"I love the movies. Gosh, I love movies. I love watching them and I love making them. It is an honor to be here today to celebrate in this Hollywood hallowed ground pictures, movies, films, cinema," the 54-year-old actor and producer said. "The only way I am standing here is to have words with such beautiful, wonderful artists in the past. I have been a part of some films that have been embraced. And I am very grateful. They have changed my life. They have given me life. They have provided life. And I am very grateful to the people who have enjoyed these films. Without your support, I am not standing here."
Reeves' latest action movie, "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum," opens on Friday in the U.S. Halle Berry and other co-stars posed with Reeves after he placed his hand- and footprints into a cement block.
"There ain't but one Keanu Reeves. Ain't but on of them. God already put the best Keanu stuff he had into this one and he ain't making no more of that," Fishburne told the crowd.
Reeves said he had visited the theatre when he first came to Hollywood in 1985.
"To be at a theater -- when I first got here in '85, you know I was coming to this theater all the time, and I was looking at all of the memorials here and celebrations. And so to be a part of that dream and then to be standing here is something really special," he said.
