3:35Now PlayingLondon's Metropolitan Police Chief said on Saturday that a "large increase" of police officers would be deployed across the city after Friday's attack.
Commissioner Cressida Dick made the comment after visiting London Bridge where a man convicted of terrorism offences was suspected of killing two people and stabbing three others.
Speaking near the scene, Dick said residents would see more "unarmed officers and armed officers" in London following the attack.
She added that investigators would continue examining the scene for "some time to come."
Earlier on Saturday, authorities revealed that suspected attacker Usman Khan, who was shot dead by police, had been convicted in 2012 of terrorism offences and released from jail in December 2018 under certain conditions.
