The service was lead by the Dean of the Cathedral Andrew Nunn, who said that "thoughts and prayers" were with the people who were injured and killed.
People also paid respects to the victims of the attack near the crime scene, which is still cordoned off by the police.
Attacker Usman Khan, a convicted terrorist who had secured early release from prison, killed two people and injured three others in his attack on Friday.
He was restrained by members of the public before police shot him dead.
Police named the victims who died as Saskia Jones, 23, and Jack Merritt, 25, who were both graduates of the University of Cambridge.
At the time of the service, only Jack Merritt had been named.
