0:37Now PlayingA man filmed himself undergoing the test for COVID-19 at a hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on April 13.
This video shows Craig Layton being tested for the virus at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax. A swab is taken from the back of his mouth, followed by another swab deep inside his nasal passage.
“Ooh, that doesn’t feel very good,” Layton can be heard saying in the video after receiving the nasal swab.
In a Twitter post, Layton said his test was negative but he filmed it “in case you are curious as to what it’s like.”
There had been 569 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Nova Scotia as of April 16, according to local media. Around 19,000 COVID-19 tests had been carried out in the Canadian province.
