This footage, shared by fire officials, shows rescuers using a dinghy to make their way through waterlogged streets.
Chine Fire said heavy rain caused serious flooding in Hubei’s Jianshi County, and three fire department vehicles and 21 firefighters were dispatched to rescue 70 people.
Weeks of torrential rain have affected millions of people in China. Floodwater was discharged from the Three Gorges Dam in Hubei on Sunday, July 26, state media said, in what was third flood of the year on the Yangtze River.
