2:57Now PlayingPresident Donald Trump said on Saturday his opponent Joe Biden was "the worst candidate in the history of presidential politics."
"The fact is, I did more in forty seven months as president than Joe Biden did in forty seven years," Trump said as he addressed his supporters at a rally in Minden, Nevada.
Unleashing 90-plus minutes of grievances and attacks, Trump claimed the state’s Democratic governor tried to block him and repeated his false claim that mail-in ballots would taint the election result.
"It's a rigged election. It's the only way we're going to lose," he told the crowd.
Trump also claimed that the Democrat’s running mate, Senator Kamala Harris, would be president "in about a month" if Biden won, asserting that the former vice president would be but a figurehead and that Harris would hold power.
"Using him is just an excuse to get the super-libs in there so they can destroy our suburbs, demolish our Second Amendment, erase your borders and indoctrinate your children with poisonous anti-American lies in school, " Trump said.
Trump narrowly lost Nevada in 2016 to Hillary Clinton, and the state has trended further toward the Democrats in the past decade.
But Trump’s campaign has invested heavily in the state, relying on its ground game to turn out voters.
Democrats, by contrast, have largely relied on virtual campaign efforts during the pandemic, save for the casino workers’ Culinary Union, which has sent workers door to door.
Some Democrats fear a possible Trump momentum gain in Nevada, with the president showing increasing support from Latinos and non-college education white voters, two important constituencies in the state.
