0:51Now PlayingReturning from a campaign stop in North Carolina, Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden had little to say about a grand jury declining to charge Louisville police officers in the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor.
Biden pointed reporters to a statement his campaign had previously emailed.
Biden was also asked about President Donald Trump's refusal at a news conference Wednesday to pledge a peaceful transition of power if he should lose the election.
Biden responded, "What country are we in? I'm being facetious."
Protesters gathered Wednesday in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, and in cities across the country.
Demonstrators have been protesting for months since Taylor was killed March 13 during a botched drug raid.
A grand jury indicted a sole officer on counts of wanton endangerment for firing into a home next to Taylor's with people in it.
Police have detained at least four people and there have been occasional clashes between officers and protesters.
