Harris thanked the active duty US Navy troops who were preparing the vaccine to be administered.
Amid the sound of many syringes being filled and then flicked, the vice president urged them to "tap away," to extract the maximum amount possible from every vial.
Harris spoke briefly to teacher Shagara Bradshaw who was waiting for her second Pfizer shot.
