1:29Now PlayingUS Vice President Kamala Harris reaffirmed her country's commitment to "re-engaging with Europe" as she virtually addressed a forum in Brussels on Tuesday.
"America is back," she declared.
Harris told members of the forum, which was organized by the German Marshall Fund, that it was a priority for her administration to make the "transatlantic relationship stronger than ever before."
Harris was speaking as President Joe Biden was visiting Brussels, where he saw a major breakthrough with the European Union in a trade dispute centered on aviation subsidies.
The deal was announced as Biden prepared to fly from Brussels to Geneva for a summit meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
