The Versailles Criminal Court fined Meubles Ikea France $1.2 million for unlawfully using private data and convicted the unit’s ex-CEO Jean-Louis Baillot to a two-year suspended jail sentence, Agence France-Presse reported on Tuesday.
The investigation began nearly a decade ago, creating a public furore and Ikea France reacted by dismissing four top executives, according to AFP.
