3:20Now PlayingFor the past 20 months, the South Sudanese track-and-field team have been training in Maebashi, a city two hours north of Tokyo. The five members arrived from the world’s youngest country before the Olympic and Paralympic games were delayed by the global pandemic last year, expecting to be here for only half a year. Having been supported by Japanese taxpayers, the athletes hope to take home the country’s first ever Olympic medal and spread the message of peace. Bloomberg’s Kurumi Mori spends the day with the team.
