YouTube Description
as posted by the channelSaharan dust moving across Europe on Wednesday blanketed everything from cars to ski slopes in a sheen of red and orange.
On Wednesday, people in Spain and France and South East England were able to see an orange tinge to the sky as the dust caused more light to be refracted, according to the U.K.'s Meteorological Office. Most of the dust was about 2 kilometres above ground level, but some of it settled on the ground.
When the wind blows strongly over the Sahara, dust in the upper part of the atmosphere can flow north, covering thousands of miles.
